Benedictine Scholarship Competition

Benedictine+Scholarship+Competition

Paying for college might seem like a daunting idea, but scholarships are a wonderful way to help with this. Some colleges offer scholarships for sports, grades, and a multitude of other factors. Benedictine College hosts a scholarship competition every year for those who wish to participate. This competition annually offers 10 presidential scholarships amounting to $34,000 and 5 dean scholarships that amount to $25,000.

To be eligible for this competition, one must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher along with an ACT score of at least 27, an SAT score of 1260 or higher, or a CLT score of 84 or higher. The weekend includes a Friday visit, along with a music audition if the student desires, a scholars’ dinner, and the Saturday competition of an interview and essay. The essay is written on campus on one of three to five prompts. The interview is a twenty-minute interview with two faculty members.

This competition is a great opportunity and experience for students to compete for a scholarship to go to this Newman Guide college. To learn more about this competition, you can visit the Benedictine College website: https://www.benedictine.edu/admission/visit/presidential/index.
