Christmas in the Manger by the Donkey, By Emeline Joly (5th grade)
It was a long and hard trip but we made it.
Mary and Joseph went to the inn, but there was no room in the inn. But the man said we can stay in the stable. Mary hopped back up on my back and we headed for the stables.
When we got to the stables, then Mary gave birth to baby Jesus.
I was so proud to be the donkey that carried the Mother of Christ from far, far, far away all the way to this stable. The cow and the sheep told me that I did great. The shepherds came and then the wise men came with gifts for baby Jesus.
