MODG Student Eva Heroux’s National Geographic Trip

MODG student, Eva Heroux, talks about her National Geographic trip with Reporter Claire Downes.

How did you find out about the trip?
I found out about the Nat Geo Student Expeditions on the back of a Nat Geo magazine, where they had a website link.

Why did you decide to go?
The trip offered amazing experiences, and it was photography focused. Plus, I don’t think many people would pass up on an all-expense-paid trip!

What did you do on the trip?
The trip was jam-packed with things to do each day. My highlights were staying at a research station in the Amazon, night hiking in the rainforest, and deep-sea snorkeling with sharks.

What places did you visit on your trip?
I visited the Galapagos Islands, Quito, and Yasuni National Park in the Amazon.

What was your favorite place to visit?
My favorite place has to be between Isla Isabella and the Yasuni Research Station!

How was your overall experience?
My experience was an amazing one. I learned so much on this trip.

What camera did you use?
I used a Canon Rebel T6.
