Faces of MODG: 2019 March for Life

MODG News’ very own Diana Neilson spoke to some of our MODG students about why they march. (Photos by Diana Neilson and Calvin Cheney.)

Mary Foley, MODG Senior: “I march because I believe in the dignity and worth of all human life, and that everyone should have a
right to life.”

Mary Clare Maggio (left), MODG Senior: “I march because so few people in the world know the reality of abortion and its affect
on the world. I march for 61 million babies, within the country I know and love, who never got the chance to share their
story with the rest of the world. I march, because the voiceless deserve to be heard and I will forever give them my voice.”
Hannah Gjolberg (right), MODG Senior: “I march to be an example to others to stand up for what is right and to be a voice for the voiceless in a world
where the innocent are denied their right to life.”

Ethan Springfield, MODG Junior: “I march for justice for all those who cannot speak or march for themselves. It tears me apart that people don’t see that they are actually throwing away someone’s life. Someone’s entire existence. All life is sacred, all life is
beautiful, and all life should be lived to its fullest extent. It’s saddening that life isn’t regarded as the wonderful
gift that it really is.”

Erica Christie, MODG Senior: “I march because the lives of the unborn are too precious to just discard. They’re human beings too and deserve
every right to live, just like the rest of us.”

Diego Salcido, MODG Senior: “I march because I believe there is still hope for our nation and this generation to become pro-Life once again.
It is a cause worth fighting for, and an obligation for us Catholics as well!”

Diana Neilson and Calvin Cheney
Tara Orsay, MODG Junior: “I march for those who can’t march. Every other march, involves marching for yourself and your rights but
this march is for those who cannot march for themselves. We march for the babies who have no choice in the atrocity
being committed. I march because I believe in the constitutional right to life.”
